Beginning in 1964, Wild River is a 3rd generation farming family based in the small town of Marysville, CA along the bank of the winding Yuba River which flows from the Sierra Nevada mountains to enrich our fertile soils. Wild River is the largest grower, packer, and shipper of organic kiwifruit in the US, farming over 200 acres of CCOF certified kiwifruit, however we are not a kiwifruit monoculture like much of the industry.

We value biodiversity and farm other fruits organically alongside our kiwifruit vineyards to keep our soils healthy. We inter-plot blocks of green and gold kiwifruit with several varieties of organic mandarins, pluots, plums, persimmons and walnuts, and even intercrop some kiwifruit vineyards with persimmon trees that bear fruit across our vine canopy. We work in conjunction with the natural habitat of the river in our effort to responsibly steward our land and we're especially proud of our commitment to organic and sustainable growing practices. As embodied by our brand mascots (Our Owl Friends), we construct and maintain wooden owl boxes across our orchards to provide homes for wild barn owls who help drive away pesky pests who threaten our farm.
